The Principal's Corner - October 24, 2023

With Correy Black

Principal, The New Standard Academy

Academy parents and students,

I trust this letter finds you well and thriving. As we navigate through another academic year, it brings me great joy to reach out to you to express our gratitude for your continued support and partnership in fostering a vibrant educational community.

Attendance plays a pivotal role in a student's academic journey, and we would like to take this opportunity to highlight its profound impact on overall success. Regular school attendance not only ensures that students stay on track with their studies but also fosters a sense of responsibility and discipline that will serve them well in the future. Your commitment to ensuring your child's consistent presence at school greatly contributes to their academic and personal growth.

Moreover, we would like to emphasize the importance of encouraging our students to strive for excellence in their academic pursuits. Every day, our dedicated educators work tirelessly to create a stimulating and nurturing learning environment. Your support at home is invaluable in reinforcing the importance of education and instilling a love for learning in our students. Together, we can inspire them to reach their full potential and develop the skills necessary for a successful future.

As we approach the month of April, it is essential to draw attention to the significance of state testing. These assessments provide valuable insights into your child's academic progress and help us identify areas where additional support may be needed. We kindly request that you impress upon your child the importance of taking these tests seriously and putting forth their best effort. Your encouragement and positive reinforcement during this time will undoubtedly contribute to their confidence and success in these assessments.

In closing, I would like to express our deepest appreciation for your ongoing commitment to The New Standard. Your involvement in your child's education, whether it be through attending parent-teacher conferences, supporting school events, or participating in the daily routines of school life, greatly enriches our educational community. We are grateful for your partnership and look forward to continuing this journey together. Thank you for entrusting us with the privilege of educating your children. Together, we can empower them to achieve greatness and make a positive impact on the world.

Best regards,

Correy Black, MPH, ES
